TWILIGHT FANS: Please watch starting @ minute 4:00
The Capitol
Visited with mom, dad, and Sheri yesterday:

A few interior pics I liked, starting with ol’ Abe:

and Grant:

No clue who this guy is, just liked the light:

and Dwight D:

I loved all of these but I was never that into Doug or Hey Arnold. I would love to see these again but they left out Ren and Stimpy, luckily I have downloaded all the seaons to it and a few other shows.
I had totally forgotten about Ahhhhh Real Monsters. Awesome.

Watch this now:
If you showed this to someone as recently as 50 years ago, it would be like fucking magic to them. Incredible.
Holy Gigantic Win
This has the potential to be the greatest (ok, only great) reality show ever. Ever. If it takes the place of Dirty Jobs I’m going to go on a rampage, but otherwise, I’m counting down.
I am REALLY psyched for this show, and I am optimistic that Discovery will do it right. No help from the camera crew or producers, just average people stuck in a true survive-or-perish situation. This is what “Survivor” should have been.
On a slightly geekier note, I am fascinated with the concept of “The Fall”, the theory that every advanced civilization will eventually self-destruct, precipitating a complete rebuilding. However, as compared to evolution thus far, survivors will have whatever knowledge they carry through The Fall as well as technological remnants to build upon.
So yeah, I’m pretty excited for The Colony.
God Speed, Ed Freeman
Every time I read a story that led to a Medal of Honor (or its citation), I am baffled and saddened that the passing of these men isn’t recognized by anyone outside of the military community.
